JE Technology Desk: Samsung, a South Korean smartphone maker, is famous for making flagship-grade phones. The company's 'S' series is popular for bringing top-notch specifications and premium software support. But in the latest update, a user claims a pink line appeared on the screen after installing the May 2023 update on their Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The user (Koushik2099) highlighted the issue on the Samsung Community forum. He wrote that after approaching the service centre, he was asked to pay Rs 31,000 for a screen replacement. Further, he adds, "No free screen replacement is given" for the S21 Ultra in this case.

This is not a lone report on the Samsung platform. We were able to locate several other users who claimed they faced similar display problems, including a green line on this model. Another user claimed that 80 per cent of S21 Ultra devices are facing this issue. From these reports, it is clear that a software or hardware issue could be plaguing the S21 Ultra.
On a similar note, Gizmochina reports that the Galaxy S20 series also faced display issues previously. After the number of complaints rose, the South Korean giant offered screen replacements for free. In the latest case, Samsung is yet to make an announcement on a possible software fix for the problem or offer a screen replacement free of cost.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G received a positive response at launch from the tech fraternity. It had a Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz screen, Exynos 2100, Android 11 with OneUI 5.1 (at launch) and a 5000mAh battery with 25W wired charging. It came with a 108MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto and 10MP periscope lens on the back. On the front, it came with a 40MP camera, according to GSMArena.
The company announced the S21 series in 2021. The model launched in the catalogue included: Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.
