Samsung Galaxy S24, which made its debut at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024, is reportedly witnessing a screen issue. The social media users who are using the new flagship are claiming that the display is showing dull or washed-out colours as compared to the previous generation models. Not only that, the users have also reported colour inconsistency issues, which is confirmed by the company, claims a report.

However, in the latest move, the reports are claiming that the South Korean tech giant is setting up the device differently and the device will show fewer contrasting colours as compared to the last generation Galaxy S23.

This follows the release of an update regarding the problem by Samsung Spain. According to a company statement, the Galaxy S24 series' colour and brightness have been adjusted for optimal viewing accuracy, resulting in eye comfort. This indicates that Samsung is purposefully trying to provide more natural tones and that these washed-out colours are not a flaw.

While the company has apparently stated that everything about the display is smooth, users from various users from different countries are reacting differently to this issue. It is worth noting that Samsung is well-known for providing AMOLED displays with strong contrast, with blue and green being particularly appealing to the eye.

It is possible that the company chose to tone down the display for reasons related to power management and overall smartphone performance. However, Samsung has experimented with a variety of features in the new Galaxy S24 series, including new screen protection, an improved camera, and new AI capabilities such as the highly anticipated Circle to Search, Live translation, Interpreter, Note Assist, and more.
