Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Samsung fans and smartphone enthusiasts all over the globe have been anticipating the release of Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge, which is yet to make an official debut, after we saw its first glimpse at the Galaxy Unpacked event that took place in January. Now we have a new leak that has surfaced online telling us about its supposed launch timeline. Previously it was thought that the Korean tech giant might drop this device on April 15; however, the launch didn't take place and was rescheduled to May. This new leak reveals the launch date for China and South Korea, along with a global launch timeline as well.
So if you have also been eyeing getting your hands on what could be Samsung's ultra-thin smartphone, then this is something you shouldn't miss.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Leaked Launch Schedule
According to a Korean publication, the launch may take place on May 13 in Korea and China, and the sale for the same might go live on May 23, with pre-orders beginning a day after the launch happens. The report also highlights that a global launch could also take place on May 30.
The report also pointed out that customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be able to get the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB variant. In terms of pricing, the phone is expected to cost between KRW 1.5 million and KRW 1.63 million in South Korea, which suggests it could be priced at around Rs 90,000 in India.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Expected Specs
This device has gained a lot of buzz, as it is being portrayed as Samsung's thinnest Galaxy S series model with a thickness of 5.84mm. This device stands in direct competition with a product from its core rival, Apple's iPhone 17 Air.
Under the hood a Snapdragon 8Elite chip is expected with 12GB RAM. In the camera department it could have a dual-camera setup which will likely have a 200 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide shooter. We can also expect a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate support. Peak brightness could be as much as 2,700 nits. One of the major letdowns that the device might come with is its battery life, which might only be of 3,900 mAh.
With that said, it must be noted that all this information is through leaks and rumours, and an official confirmation is still awaited, so for now we need to wait and see what the Korean tech giant has in store for us this time.
