Galaxy S25 FE: Samsung just dropped its Galaxy S25 FE across the global markets yesterday, September 4, 2025. This new device has joined the Galaxy S25 family and brings in a refreshed look not too different from its predecessor and Samsung's in-house Exynos chip. This phone brings an amalgamation of next-gen features and AI integration, something that has been gaining popularity amongst the young crowd, with features like instant slow motion, generative edit and audio eraser.
Here's what the new FE model brings when compared to its predecessor.

Display and Design
Both models use 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X panels, but the S25 FE reaches 1,900 nits, runs at 120 Hz, and adds Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the S24 FE is limited to FHD+ resolution at 401 ppi.
Performance and Software
The S24 FE runs on Exynos 2400e with Android 14, while the S25 FE uses Exynos 2400, ships with Android 16 (One UI 8), and gets seven years of updates. Storage also scales higher on the S25 FE, up to 512 GB compared to 256 GB on the S24 FE.
Battery and Charging
Capacity increases slightly from 4,700 mAh on the S24 FE to 4,900 mAh on the S25 FE. Charging also improves from 25 W to 45 W, with both supporting 15 W wireless charging.
Cameras
Both carry a 50 MP + 12 MP + 8 MP triple rear setup, but the S25 FE adds 3× optical zoom and a 12 MP front camera with 8K recording, compared to the S24 FE’s 10 MP selfie shooter.

Durability and Colours
The S24 FE is rated IP6X/IPX8, while the S25 FE is IP68, which means it can be submerged up to 1.5 m under fresh water for 30 minutes (under lab conditions). Colour options change from grey, blue, mint, and yellow to navy, white, and jet black.
This is how both the models stack up against each other. Yes, the new version does bring some refreshed changes to the fore, but is it still worth the upgrade? In my opinion, if you are a tech enthusiast and want to get your hands on the latest device, then you should go for it, but if you like to get something cheaper that does the work for you, without loading, the previous version would be a better choice, but again, it depends on the user and what use case they want to derive out of it.
