The Powerhouse Behind the Galaxy S 25 Series
Yes, the Galaxy S25 series will feature a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Qualcomm and Samsung have both worked on it together to produce the custom chip for Galaxy. But how much of a performance boost are we looking at? The S series will deliver a performance boost of 40% in NPU ((Neural Processing Unit) which is good as this will require an extra performance boost to handle all the AI functionalities, be it image recognition or voice processing, A 37% boost to in CPU performance and 30% boost as compared to its predecessors.
The new series boasts advanced AI image processing with ProScaler, which delivers a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality. Additionally, Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) is integrated within the processor using Galaxy IP, offering improved display power efficiency for a better overall viewing experience.
There is good news for gamers as well, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy comes equipped with Vulkan Engine and improved Ray Tracing to deliver a smooth experience and more immersive mobile gaming experience. Now with all this power heat usually becomes an issue but Samsung has taken care of that as well, thanks to its improvised heat dissipation structure which boasts of a 40% larger vapor chamber and a tailored thermal interface material (TIM) all this intense device usage can be experienced at ease.
What does the Camera setup offer this time?
The Galaxy S25 series sets a new benchmark in mobile photography with its high-resolution sensors and the ProVisual Engine, delivering ultra-detailed shots across all ranges. The S25 Ultra, equipped with a new 50MP ultrawide camera (upgraded from 12MP), offers exceptional clarity and vibrancy.
The device now supports 10-bit HDR recording by default, providing four times richer color expression than 8-bit, capturing more detail in varying lighting conditions. A Greener Approach
The Galaxy S25 series takes a significant step towards sustainability with every external component, including at least one recycled material. For the first time, the metal frame of the Galaxy S25+ and S25 features recycled armor aluminum. Additionally, each device in the series contains a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt in its battery.
Notably, the Galaxy S25 will be the first Galaxy smartphone to use batteries made with recycled cobalt sourced from previous Galaxy devices or discarded batteries from the manufacturing process.
