Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is still well over a year away from release, yet early leaks are already starting to paint a more vivid picture of what the Ultra model may offer — and it appears that this time around, battery muscle and charging speed might loom larger.

A new leak suggests the Galaxy S26 Ultra might come with a 5,200mAh battery on board, which would represent a relatively small increase over the 5,000mAh battery that powers the Galaxy S25 Ultra. On paper, an additional 200 mAh is not exactly a life-altering upgrade, but when married to improved efficiency, it might add up to a little bit more stamina in your day-to-day use.

Here’s the thing: this figure contradicts past data from a Chinese certifications listing. That listing indicated a 4,885mAh rated capacity, which usually is rounded up to 5,000mAh for marketing — the same voltage the S25 Ultra uses. So the battery story at this point isn’t set in stone.

More interesting than the charging rumour, though! Multiple sources now claim the Galaxy S26 Ultra will make a leap forward to 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. That would be the largest upgrade in years, given that Samsung has used 45W wired charging for multiple Ultra generations. If true, this could finally stem the tide of “Samsung charges slow” compared to some other Android rivals.

But all of this is still leak territory and early stage at that; Samsung’s final hardware may change as we get closer to launching.

Expected launch timeline and India pricing

Notorious leakster ice universe previously mentioned that Samsung would announce its next Galaxy S series on February 15, and history tells us the handsets will arrive in stores between two weeks to a month later. The device was expected to be priced around ₹1,34,999 in India, with its starting price at launch set by early estimations which ensured it would remain firmly within the premium range.
