Samsung just made mobile payments a little easier for millions of Galaxy users. The company has rolled out Tap & Pay support for AU Small Finance Bank’s Visa Credit Cards, letting people make contactless payments straight from Samsung Wallet without ever reaching for a physical card. It’s a small change on paper but a big step in Samsung’s push to turn Wallet into a true all-in-one payments hub for Indian users. Here’s how the new feature works and what else is coming.
How Tap & Pay works for AU Visa Credit Card users
Samsung’s new partnership with AU Small Finance Bank brings NFC-based Tap & Pay directly to Samsung Wallet. Once an AU Visa Credit Card is added to the app, users can simply unlock their Galaxy phone, hold it near an NFC-enabled POS terminal, and complete the transaction — no plastic card required.

The setup cuts down the risk of losing a physical card, speeds up checkout, and gives users a single place to manage payments across cards, UPI, and more.
Samsung Wallet’s growing India-first focus
Samsung has been stacking new features into Wallet for Indian users over the last few months. One of the most convenient additions is the option to add UPI accounts during a phone’s initial setup, allowing instant payments from day one. UPI authentication also now works with face unlock or fingerprint, removing the need to type a PIN for every transaction.

Samsung is also preparing to turn Wallet into a digital keyring. Thanks to a new partnership with Mahindra, the Digital Car Key feature will launch soon in India. It works through NFC, letting owners lock, unlock and even start select electric SUVs like the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e.
