Further giving a breakdown of the monthly active users, the company has announced that over 120 million Indian Snapchat users all over the country are consuming content in the form of Stories, Spotlight, and Partnered content, the fourth and fifth tabs of the app.
“We see tremendous potential for Snapchat partners, creators, and brands to build communities and businesses, and we couldn't be more excited about our future,” Snap President, APAC, Ajit Mohan, stated.
“Young India has cherished the healthy and private atmosphere that has been at the heart of our experiences, and this will continue to be our priority in the future,” added Mohan.
Snapchat is one of the most popular social media apps, and according to the firm, Augmented Reality (AR) Lenses are used over 50 billion times each month, with over 85 percent of users using Lenses to visually express themselves throughout the country's festive months.
Meanwhile, the company introduced the My AI chatbot which will let users have a human-like conversation. The MY AI chatbot is powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT and was earlier limited to Snapchat Plus Subscribers. But recently, the company has announced that My AI will be available for all users.
