The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro is projected to hit the global market around the holiday season of 2024. This comes after stolen documents obtained and released by the YouTube channel Moore's Law is Dead revealed that the Japanese tech behemoth is working on a new console. According to a recent report by Insider Gaming, Sony is working on a new system.
According to a report by Mashable India, the documents claim that the new console will be making its debut later this year. Not only that, but the latest leaks also suggest that the new console can hit stores across the world soon. Further, the leaked documents suggest some of the key specifications of the device.

As per the Insider Gaming report, the PS5 Pro will get an improved 4K resolution with performance mode for 8K resolution as well. The company may also offer accelerated ray tracing and Sony might also introduce the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution which is supposed to be an in-house machine learning solution to upscale the image production, added the report.
With improved performance for ray-traced games, it might upgrade the AMD Radeon RX 6700 to a configuration more like the Radeon RX 7800 XT. This implies that its performance will be noticeably better than that of its predecessor. According to the rumour, the PS5 Pro would have a 45% faster speed than the PS5 Standard. A significant improvement over the current PS5, a 10.28-teraflop console, is expected with the PS5 Pro's GPU, which can achieve a 16-bit floating-point calculation number of 67 TFLOPs. This figure will be translated to an estimate of 33.5 TFLOPs of FP32 computing performance.

As per Henderson, Sony’s first-party studios have been testing since September and if it is true, Sony might launch it by November or December 2024.
