Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Release Date: Japanese tech giant Sony has officially announced the PlayStation 5 Slim sale date in India. The highly anticipated gaming console is all set to hit the Indian market on April 5 and comes with increased storage specs compared to the regular PlayStation 5. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming gaming console.
The PS5 Slim is available in both disc and disc-less varieties, consumes up to 30% less space is 25% lighter than the standard version, and has 1TB of storage (that can be increased further using SSDs. The PS5 Slim was previously confined to the United States. Not only that but the recently announced PS5 Slim supports 4K games at a 120 Hz frame rate.

The PlayStation 5 Slim has the same design as the original PlayStation 5 and allows customers to change the non-disc variant to a disc drive by removing the side panel, however, Sony has yet to announce the availability of the add-on. In terms of design, the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Slim are nearly identical. Both come with four side plates.
Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Price:
The PlayStation 5 Slim disc version price starts at Rs 54,990. Not only that, Sony has also announced the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (disc-less version) at a price of Rs 44,990. Both will be available on online and offline retailers starting April 5.

The new PS5 Slim has an x86-64-AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor with 8 Cores / 16 Threads and a frequency that can be adjusted up to 3.5 GHz. It features a 1TB SSD, 16GB of GDDR6 system memory, and an AMD Radeon RDNA 2-based graphics engine that supports 8K, VRR, and 4K TVs. It also has a configurable frequency of up to 2.23 GHz (10.3 TFLOPS).
