SPOTIFY, a popular audio streaming platform has made a major design revamp with which the users would find it easy to discover new songs, playlists, and video podcasts. The new user interface seems to be more image-driven and requires vertical scrolling making it much similar to the photo-sharing application Instagram.
With this move, the company aims to become more than an audio streaming application and to attract over 50 million audio creators to the application. According to the reports, the company has already invested in podcasts, audio, and live audio in recent years and now the company aims to go broader with its mission and vision.
What Are The Changes:
The users can find video podcasts, large photos, detailed information about the podcasts, and the audio playlist on the home screen. Meanwhile, the company has retained the top feature section where the users can find the playlist or albums of their favourite creators.
However, the users can now find an option to go to the podcast/shows or music categories and a major chance to find new content. Additionally, the users would get a preview of the songs and the playlist without even spending more time on the platform.
Also, the company has unveiled a brand-new personalised AI, a smart shuffle tool that can add tunes to the playlist, providing consumers with a more tailored playlist. Another step in Spotify's goal to become the go-to music platform is DJ, an AI that plays records and hosts tailored radio shows.
It appears that the company is making a concerted effort to distinguish itself from the audio streaming platform. The company has improved its user interface for users, making it easier for them to discover new types of information with a customised touch.
