Starlink India Price Leak: Reports about Starlink’s India launch exploded online recently after prices for its satellite internet service and hardware briefly appeared on the company’s official website. Many assumed this was the long-awaited official reveal for the Indian market.

Starlink has now made it clear: those prices were not real.

Starlink India Website “Not Live Yet”

Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, clarified the situation in a post on X.

She said the Starlink India website isn’t live, no official pricing has been announced, and the company is not taking customer orders in India yet.

According to Dreyer, what people saw was the result of a configuration glitch that briefly exposed internal dummy test data on the site. Those figures, she stressed, do not reflect the actual cost of Starlink service in India and were removed quickly once the issue was spotted.

Starlink Still Waiting on Final Approvals

Despite the confusion, Starlink says its India plans are very much alive. Dreyer added that the company is “eager to connect the people of India” and that teams are currently focused on getting final government approvals needed to turn the service — and the India website — on.

Industry speculation suggests Starlink could make its debut in India sometime during the first quarter of 2026; however, this timeline is unofficial and nothing can be guaranteed until all regulatory clearances have been secured.

What This Means for Indian Users

For now, the message is simple:

- Any prices you saw online are not final.

- No pre-orders or sign-ups are being accepted for India yet.

Starlink’s official India pricing and plans will only be known once the company formally launches its service here.

Given how attractive satellite broadband is for remote and rural areas, interest in Starlink is understandably high. But until SpaceX and Indian regulators complete the approval process and Starlink itself publishes confirmed tariffs, every “leak” or forwarded screenshot should be treated as speculation, not fact.

In short: Starlink isn’t live in India yet, and the real numbers are still under wraps.
