Telegram Outage Today: Messaging app Telegram is back after facing a brief service disruption in India. According to Downdetector, an outage monitoring platform, over 3,200 outages were reported as of 01:40 PM today. The majority of problems concerned sending messages (51 per cent), followed by glitches in the app (31 per cent).

Some users (18 per cent) also reported problems with login. This comes as a second outage within 24 hours in India after users reported a "connecting..." error. Telegram did not share any official statement confirming the disruption yesterday. At the time of filing too, the messaging platform has not responded to errors reported by users for the second time within 24 hours.

Several users took to X to share reactions on the second disruption of Telegram. "Damn looks like telegram is down again, twice in less than 24 hours," a user said. "Looks like Telegram's having a case of double trouble! Down twice in 24 hours. Who else is feeling the communication blues?", another user said. As per the outage map on the Downdetector, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Kolkata, Patna, Lucknow and more were among the affected regions. According to users on X, the app is again facing the same "connecting..." issue. However, it seems Telegram has applied a fix as users on X report that the services are back to normal.

Telegram Down Update: 02:40 PM

The latest responses from users confirm that Telegram is working fine again. Reports on Downdetector have dipped to under 80 from over 3,350 at the peak duration. For the unaware, Telegram also faced an outage last night at around 10:00 PM in India. Reports peaked at over 6,600 during this time.
