Truecaller, a popular caller identification application has yet again introduced the call recording feature for both Android and iOS users but not for free. The company has found yet another way to re-introduce the feature after Google and Apple placed restrictions on their operating systems.
According to the company, the call recording feature will be accompanied by a translate call into text feature, which will be useful for customers who do not want to miss anything while attending an important meeting or whatever else. Users will also be able to search through transcripts to quickly find information in recorded conversations.
Truecaller Call Recording Feature: Where Is It Available?
The feature is presently available in English and will be expanded to additional languages in the near future. It is currently only available to users in the United States.
How To Record Calls With Truecaller Premium
On Android, users can begin a call recording right from the dialer in Truecaller. If the caller is using another dialer, Truecaller will show a floating recording button.

To blend incoming and outgoing calls on iOS, users must call a recording line via the Truecaller app. According to the report, the other party on the call will hear a beep to signify that the call is being recorded.
Why Truecaller Removed Call Recording Feature?
Call recording was made available by Truecaller to premium Android customers in 2018 and to all Android users in 2021. However, Google restricted access to its Accessibility API in 2022, which forced the business to remove the feature from its apps. Truecaller was one of many apps that used the API to record calls.
Truecaller New Plans
As a result of this development, Truecaller now provides three options in the US: a fundamental plan without ads for $1 per month, a premium plan with call recording for $3.99 per month, and a top-tier plan with call screening assistance for $4.49 per month. It gives a hint that the company may restructure its plans in India as well after the feature's arrival.
Truecaller Call Recording Feature In India
According to the company, Truecaller has over 500,000 US users, 10% of whom are on a subscription plan. Globally, the company has more than 350 million users, with 100 million of those users being in India, which hints that the company may soon bring the feature to India. However, the company has not made any official statement as of now.
