TWITTER, a popular microblogging platform which has been in the headlines because of the Twitter Blue subscription ever since Elon Musk took over the platform last year in October last year. In a new update, Elon Musk on his Twitter handle announced that verified accounts are now prioritised.

With this new update, users whose accounts have been verified may receive special attention as a result of this development. People who are browsing Twitter, for instance, are more likely to see your posts from the accounts that are verified.

Taking to Twitter, Elon Musk said, “Verified accounts are now prioritized”.

When Elon Musk Twitter announced the newly revamped Twitter Blue, the company said that one of the benefits which the subscribers will get is a priority in search, replies, and mentions and now after the tweet of Elon Musk, the company seems to be fulfilling its promise. However, the company has priced the subscription at $11 per month for smartphone users and $8 per month for web users.

Meanwhile, the company has removed the legacy blue ticks from the profile on April 20. However, Elon Musk has earlier announced that the company would be removing legacy blue ticks from April 1 but it did not happen.

After the removal of legacy blue ticks, some the well-known celebrities like Taylor Swift did not lose their blue tick. However, after a lot of trolling and impersonations, Twitter did give back the legacy blue ticks to some of the influential users.

However, these blue ticks were also restored to the profile of influential users who are not alive. It includes former Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. On the profile, the platform said this account is subscribed to Twitter Blue and the phone number is verified. However, it is still unclear who paid the subscription and whose number is verified.
