TWITTER, a popular microblogging platform is again in headlines as it has now officially started removing the blue tick from the profiles of legacy blue users. The blue ticks of many big personalities have been removed overnight and the ones who have subscribed to Twitter Blue only have a blue tick on their profile.

Previously, Elon Musk, the new Twitter Boss announced that the company would be removing the Twitter Legacy Blue Ticks from April 20 (4/20) and further announced that now the users will have to subscribe to Twitter Blue to retain the Blue tick on their profile.

Twitter Blue Monthly Cost:

Twitter Blue unlike a year ago is now available in different parts of the world including India. Those who want to retain a blue tick will have to pay at least Rs 650 to become a Web Twitter Blue subscriber. If users want to subscribe on their Android or iOS devices they would have to pay Rs 900 per month.

Twitter Blue Annual Subscription Cost:

Twitter also offers a discounted annual subscription to its users in which they would need to pay Rs 6,500 per year (which comes to around Rs 566) while phone users would have to pay Rs 9,400 for a yearly subscription.

How To Subscribe To Twitter Blue:

1. Tap on Menu (on the web) or on your profile image (on a smartphone).
2. Tap on the Twitter Blue option at the bottom
3. Tap on Subscribe option and select your subscription plan
4. Make your payment and you can enjoy the additional benefits of Twitter Blue with a Blue Tick

Twitter Blue Criteria:

Here is the list of criteria that would be required while opting for Twitter Blue:

1. Profile has been completed with a profile picture, bio, display name, and username.
2. Twitter Blue is available in the following countries: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, India, Indonesia, and Brazil.
3. A phone number that is both valid and active.
4. An active Twitter account that has been active for more than 90 days.

Legacy Blue Tick Removed:

Many popular Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, as well as other celebrities and businessmen such as Pope Francis, Beyonce, and Bill Gates, have had their Twitter Blue ticks removed.
