Ubisoft Cancelled Games: Prince of Persia fans will not be happy with the decision that the French gaming studio has taken; following reports of closure and layoffs, the studio has now decided that it will reorganise the company, and with that, operations will be divided into five "Creative Houses", each of which will focus on a specific genre.
As a result of its consequence, six games that were in the development stage, including your beloved childhood title, "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" remake, will never make it to your consoles and PCs, as the titles have been scrapped. Apart from the Prince of Persia remake, four other titles and one that was supposed to make it to mobiles have been discontinued. Ubisoft says, “Do not meet the new enhanced quality as well as more selective portfolio prioritisation criteria at the group level.”

But the gaming studio has affirmed that it is working on seven other unnamed titles and is devoted to allocating additional development time for them, as it apparently wants to “ensure enhanced quality benchmarks are fully met and maximise long-term value creation”. One of these unannounced titles was supposed to make its debut this year, but now that has been delayed.
Four New IPs in Work
The game maker has also said that four new IPs are currently under development, which includes the game "March of Giant".
How Many More Layoffs?
Ubisoft is silent on the issue of layoffs and has still not said how many more will be coming. The company has, although, said that it will share more details on layoffs sometime in the future.
What Does The Restructuring Look Like?
After the restructuring, this is what Ubisoft's organisational setup looks like, with each creative house looking after or focusing on a specific task, catering to specific player types as well. Here all the houses are accountable for their own portfolios, which would include everything from development to sales.
Creative House 1 (Vantage Studios) – This is the studio, or the creative house now, that will take hold of Ubisoft's legacy series franchises, which include Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six.
Creative House 2 – This is for shooter games that I have personally enjoyed, like Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and The Division.
Creative House 3- This will cater to games like For Honour, The Crew, Riders Republic, Brawlhalla and Skull & Bones.

Creative House 4 – This is where the fantasy world will get made and narration-driven titles will be brewed and will include games like Rayman, Anno, Might & Magic, Prince of Persia and Beyond Good & Evil.
Creative House 5 – This looks after casual and family-friendly games, and here you will find the likes of Just Dance, Idle Miner Tycoon, Hungry Shark, Uno, Hasbro, etc.
