After months of speculation, Vivo and iQOO have confirmed that their smartphones in India will transition from FunTouch OS to the Android 16-based Origin OS 6. The change became apparent when the official FunTouch OS X account was renamed to Origin OS, signaling that the new user interface will soon replace FunTouch OS in the Indian market. Vivo has not announced an exact timeline for Origin OS 6's arrival in India; however, with FunTouch OS having already been rebranded and having coincided with flagship launches later this year or early 2026; users can register for Vivo's preview program beginning September 29th for early access to this OS.
