Vivo is gearing up for another major moment in India’s premium smartphone segment. The company has officially locked December 2 as the launch date for its new X300 lineup, and this year’s India event comes with a twist: the standard X300 is getting an exclusive Red edition created only for the Indian market. The phones arrive almost two months after their global debut, but Vivo seems intent on making the wait worthwhile.
The launch will be livestreamed across Vivo’s social channels and will also introduce something photography enthusiasts have been waiting for—the Zeiss 2.35X teleconverters. These modules are designed to amplify zoom performance and extend the creative reach of smartphone shooters. However, unlike the Chinese launch, the photography grip won’t be coming to India yet.
Vivo X300: Performance Meets Camera Ambition
The Vivo X300 aims to blend practical performance with a strong imaging-first approach. It carries a 6.31-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED display capable of 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage — a setup clearly intended for heavy users.
Battery life should not be a concern thanks to a 6,040mAh unit supported by 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Vivo has also included an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and dual IP68/IP69 certification, making the device more resilient against water, dust, and high-pressure environments.
Where the X300 really flexes is its camera hardware. A 200-megapixel primary sensor sits at the center of a trio that includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope lens capable of 3X optical and up to 100X digital zoom. Backed by Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip and Zeiss tuning, the phone promises richer detail, better dynamic range, and stronger night photography.
Vivo X300 Pro: Pushing Everything Further
The X300 Pro takes the familiar recipe and boosts it across the board. It brings a larger 6.78-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED display with the same 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Dimensity 9500 returns, again paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
A bigger 6,510mAh battery powers the Pro model, maintaining the same 90W wired and 40W wireless charging combo. Like the standard variant, it carries an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 durability.

The camera system distinguishes the Pro even more. It uses Sony’s LYT-828 sensor for the main 50-megapixel camera, supported by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3.5X optical zoom. The Pro benefits from two imaging chips — the V3+ and VS1 — enabling higher-end colour processing, AI-driven enhancement, and more natural rendering.
The X300 Pro will come in gold and black, while the standard X300 stands out with its India-only red edition.
