Vivo Y500 Pro: Design and Display
The Vivo Y500 Pro sports a gradient design that covers the handset’s rear panel with shifting tone under different lighting conditions.
The Vivo Y500 Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED screen with 1.5K (1,260 × 2,800 pixels) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. The screen provides bright and vivid colours, with clear images, all while keeping up to a 94.1% screen-to-body ratio for a suspended viewing.
The body of the phone sports IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance — an uncommon feature at this price. Despite its large battery, Vivo has been able to keep the device thin at 7.81mm thick and relatively light at 198 grams.
Performance and Hardware
At its core, the Y500 Pro runs on the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor which is 8-core for seamless multitasking and powerful processing. It is backed by up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage so you have plenty of speed and room for your apps, pics, videos, et cetera.
Software-wise, it is based on OriginOS 6 that runs on Android 16 with improved system animations, smoother app transitions and Vivo’s latest AI-based interface enhancements.
Cameras: 200MP Samsung Sensor Takes the Lead
The Vivo Y500 Pro’s biggest highlight is its Samsung HP5 sensor-based 200-megapixel primary camera, which comes with f/1.88 aperture for clear and detailed shots. It is paired with a depth sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) for handcrafted portraits.
At the front, the phone houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.45 lens for taking bright and detailed selfies in low light conditions. Both the rear cameras come with advanced AI processing for better HDR and low light images.
Battery and Charging
The Vivo Y500 Pro brags a huge 7,000 mAh battery, definitely one of the largest in its category. A 90W fast charging feature of the phone can charge it from zero to 50% in around 20 minutes. Vivo says the large battery should easily last through more than a full day of heavy use — including streaming, gaming and taking pictures.
Connectivity and Other Features
For connectivity, you’ll have 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS/ A-GPS / Beidou / GLONASS / Galileo / QZSS alongside OTG and NavIC. The phone has a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing.

On the biometric side, the Y500 Pro has an in-display fingerprint reader and AI facial recognition. The e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, gravitation sensor and infrared remote control are also included in this handiness phone.
Final Thoughts
Highlights of the Vivo Y500 Pro include a premium design, 7,000mAh battery, and 200MP camera — which is equivalent to most flagships on the market right now. The integration of IP68+IP69 resistance, Android 16, and fast 90W charging further establish it as one of the most sensible options for both performance and longevity.
Should Vivo bring this phone to India and other international markets, it will go head-to-head with the likes of Redmi Note 14 Pro+, Realme GT Neo 6 and iQOO Z9 Pro in the sub-₹30,000 price category.
