WhatsApp, an instant messaging application, announced new enhancements for business on WhatsApp at its "Conversations" event in São Paulo. The company said it is training AI to respond to popular questions that businesses receive to help customers get answers quickly. Meta also said it will integrate AI to help business users create ads on platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

According to Meta, these ads will help customers recall about an item which they may have left in the cart or a discount which may be available on an item they have been waiting for. Moreover, the company also introduced Meta Verified for Business users of the app.

The social media giant said it has started rolling out Meta Verified on WhatsApp Business in Brazil, India, Indonesia and Colombia. A Meta Verified badge will appear for businesses when they register their information with Meta. "Businesses using Meta Verified receive enhanced account support (including impersonation protection) and can use WhatsApp across multiple devices for their employees," Meta said.

This badge will also appear for these businesses on their Channel and "custom WhatsApp page" shared on social media and the web. The company will expand the service to more business profiles and regions in future. Moreover, the company also added it is introducing the ability to let users call larger businesses in a single tap. The company said is testing the feature and will expand to more regions.

"If you have a complicated travel request or want to discuss opening a new account with your bank, a quick call might be the best way to get help," sharing instances of the feature, Meta said.
