WhatsApp, Meta's instant messaging platform, tests new features regularly. Soon after Android, the company is now testing the option to post longer videos as status on the iOS app. According to WABetaInfo, the company is rolling out the feature in the "24.10.10.74" beta version to allow users to upload up to one-minute videos in length.

According to the report, the enhancement is rolling out for beta testers and will reach more users in the "coming weeks". You must keep your app updated (via TestFlight) to ensure the changes are available in your version. The news tracker added this functionality may also be available in the latest version available on the App Store. It can help you upload longer videos in length and share more content in a single status update.

If you wish to check if the feature is available on your phone, you can upload a video of over a minute in length and expand the timeline arrows to select the portion you wish to post as status. The upload limit will scale to one minute at the maximum expansion. This change can help you upload extra moments from a video clip to convey more information in longer snippets.

Meanwhile, the company is also testing a preview for pinned messages on the Android app. Spotted in the beta '2.24.11.12', the update can help improve the accessibility and visibility of some chats via a thumbnail-like view. The supported previews for better identification of messages include photos, videos and other supported media files.
