WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature that will allow users to edit captions for photo and video albums after they've been sent. Until now, the app has only allowed caption editing for individual media or text messages, leaving album captions uneditable. However, with the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.25.3.12), users may soon be able to edit captions within 15 minutes of sending them.

This feature will provide users with more flexibility, enabling them to quickly fix typos, add clarifications, or provide extra context, without needing to delete and resend the entire album. It aims to improve communication in group chats and personal conversations by preventing confusion when captions need to be updated, ensuring shared media has the right context.

Although the feature is still in development, it’s expected to be rolled out with future updates in the coming weeks. Apart from this, WhatsApp is working on several other features. Some of them, like the ability to add sticker photos to status updates, are in the testing phase, while others are still in the works.

Additionally, a feature allowing users to view media on linked devices—which was previously available to Android beta testers—is now being rolled out to iOS users and will likely be available to the wider public soon.
