WHATSAPP, a popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta which is always working on new features is now reportedly rolling out a new feature that would allow the poll creators to put a cap on the polls to only one choice. According to the reports, the feature is already available for some Android Beta users.
WaBetaInfo, a reliable WhatsApp news, and feature reporting website, in a report mentioned that the feature is rolling for beta testers and will allow users to select only one option, which means they will have to choose the option for which they strongly believe in.
The feature, according to the report, helps make poll results more precise and accurate because there will be fewer options available to people as a whole. Also, this is helpful when only one response is needed. This is because when users must choose just one option, they are more likely to engage with the poll and think more thoroughly about their choice.
According to the report, the feature is also being developed for iOS, and some beta testers may be able to use it after installing the most recent WhatsApp beta for the iOS version.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is testing a new link preview UI for the iOS beta. When a link is entered into the platform, a new row will appear above the chat bar for beta testers, and the application will animate the row while loading the link preview.
Additionally, the company has also announced that the group admins will now get more control over the group. The admins would soon get an option using which they can decide who can join the group and who cannot.
The other feature will make it easier for users to find different groups by using the contact's name. All a user has to do is search for the contact's name, and it will locate the groups in which both of them are members.
