Apple has officially announced the iPhone 17 series, but excited shoppers will have to wait a little longer before they can get their hands on one. The entire series, which consists of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the thinner iPhone Air, will go on pre-order on September 12 at 5:30 pm IST. Deliveries and store availability will start a week later, on September 19.

Those willing to pre-book can simply go to Apple's website, where all models will be available for listing. Or, you can pre-book from bigger retail partners like Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and so on. Offline premium resellers like Imagine and Unicorn will also start bookings in cities with no official Apple Store. Remarkably, various local stores are already taking early reservations quietly, so if you have a good store to trust, it might be worth asking them.
Each iPhone release has one model take centre stage – this year it should be the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Historically, stores sell out fast, and a few offline vendors hike prices by 10–20% in the black market. If you wish to get the Pro Max on launch day, your best chance is to pre-order immediately when the window opens.
Here's the official India price list of the new series:
- iPhone 17: ₹82,900 (256GB), ₹1,02,900 (512GB)
- iPhone Air: ₹1,19,900 (256GB), ₹1,39,900 (512GB), ₹1,59,900 (1TB)
- iPhone 17 Pro: ₹1,34,900 (256GB), ₹1,54,900 (512GB), ₹1,74,900 (1TB)
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: ₹1,49,900 (256GB), ₹1,69,900 (512GB), ₹1,89,900 (1TB), ₹2,29,900 (2TB)

Apple also updated its wearables and audio offerings: the Apple Watch Series 11 begins at ₹46,900, the durable Apple Watch Ultra 3 at ₹89,900, and the AirPods Pro 3 for ₹25,900.
With four iPhones at varying budgets and capacities, this year's range provides more options than ever. But if you're shooting for the Pro Max, timing is crucial – pre-order late, and you might either wait longer or have to pay more.
