WhatsApp Integration: WhatsApp will soon allow users to integrate their accounts with Meta's Accounts Centre, offering a more connected experience across its platforms, the company revealed on Tuesday. This integration will let users automatically share their WhatsApp statuses on other Meta apps, like Facebook and Instagram. It also promises to make logging into multiple Meta apps easier with a single sign-on.
According to Meta, this integration is completely optional, meaning users can still choose not to link their WhatsApp account to the Accounts Centre. However, those who do will have access to more seamless features across apps. For example, users will be able to share their WhatsApp status updates directly to Facebook or Instagram Stories, saving them the effort of posting separately on each app.

The feature will be made available globally, but Meta plans to roll it out gradually. Once it’s available, users will see the option in WhatsApp settings, or it will appear when trying to take actions across accounts, like resharing a status.
Additionally, the integration will provide a single sign-on for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, allowing users to log into all three apps with fewer steps. Meta also plans to introduce new features, such as managing avatars, Meta AI stickers, and Imagine Me creations across platforms.
Despite these new integrations, Meta emphasizes that privacy remains a top priority. Even when WhatsApp is connected to the Accounts Centre, personal messages and calls will still be protected by end-to-end encryption, ensuring that no one, including Meta, can access them.
