YouTube Update: YouTube has permanently banned two popular channels for repeatedly posting misleading AI-generated movie trailers, signalling a tougher stance on synthetic content misuse. The affected channels include India-based Screen Culture and Georgia-based KH Studio, both of which were previously penalised but later reinstated before committing fresh violations.
Channels Vanish After Repeat Violations
The development was first reported by Deadline, with further verification confirming that both channels are no longer accessible on YouTube. Searches no longer surface their profiles, and direct links redirect users to a blank page stating, “This page isn't available. Sorry about that.”

Together, the two channels had amassed more than two million subscribers and clocked over a billion views. Their content strategy reportedly involved blending official studio footage with AI-generated visuals to create fake movie trailers that closely resembled legitimate promotional material.
Ads Were Suspended Before The Final Ban
Earlier in the year, YouTube had already suspended ads on both channels after an internal review found violations related to misleading and deceptive content, along with failures around synthetic content disclosure. Despite corrective steps taken by the creators to regain monetisation, the platform says the violations resumed shortly after.
In a statement to The Verge, YouTube spokesperson Jack Malon said, “After their initial suspension, these channels made the necessary corrections in order to be readmitted into the YouTube Partner Program. However, once monetising again, they reverted to clear violations of our spam and misleading metadata policies, and as a result, they have been terminated from the platform.”
Fan Trailer Labels Were Removed Later
According to Deadline, following the initial ad suspension, both channels began adding labels such as “fan trailer” and “parody” to their video titles, which led to monetisation being restored. However, these disclaimers were later removed from newer uploads, triggering the final enforcement action due to repeat offences.
YouTube’s Policy On AI And Deceptive Content
YouTube maintains strict policies against misleading thumbnails, titles, and video footage designed to deceive viewers. The platform also requires creators to clearly disclose any “meaningfully altered or synthetically generated content that seems realistic,” especially when it can be mistaken for official media.

Inside Screen Culture’s AI Strategy
Screen Culture founder Nikhil P. Chaudhari told the publication that he employed more than 10 editors to produce AI-generated trailers at scale. The approach reportedly focused on uploading videos early and iterating rapidly to exploit YouTube’s recommendation algorithm.
The permanent bans underline YouTube’s growing scrutiny of AI-generated content, particularly as synthetic media becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish from authentic studio material.
