Hyderabad Sunday Funday Event: The popular "Sunday Funday" show will make a comeback in Hyderabad's Tank Bund in its first colourful form on May 18. According to Eenadu report, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is transforming the charming area along Hussain Sagar into a cultural and recreational centre on the fourth Sunday by reviving the weekly entertainment program that used to draw visitors from all over the city.
With the city hosting the World Beauty Pageant at Hi-Tech City from May 10 to May 31, the activity, which had been briefly halted, is being revived with fresh energy. Authorities anticipate that the revived "Sunday Funday" would improve Hyderabad's ambiance and serve as a cultural reflection of the tourists, who are scheduled to come in large numbers.
Tank Bund will be transformed into a festive area this time, with Telangana folk performances, tiger dances, traditional games, and even cookery contests including regional treats and specialties.
In anticipation of high visitor and local foot fall, organisers are getting ready to make the event more exciting than ever.
Ahead of the international pageant, hotels all throughout the city have already seen a surge in reservations, and organisers believe that now is an ideal time to highlight Hyderabad's hospitality and cultural variety.
