Nawaz, who had been married to Swetha since 2020, had a troubled relationship marked by frequent disputes, leading to multiple police complaints. Sabera stated in her complaint that Nawaz had previously fled to her home in Banswada, Nizamabad district, due to the continuous harassment. The couple returned to Hyderabad after receiving police counselling.
According to a Times Of India report, on Sunday, Nawaz reached out to his mother, expressing his despair and indicating suicidal thoughts. Despite her attempts to encourage him to stay strong, he was found dead by hanging the following day.
The Jubilee Hills police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Nawaz's death.
