Telangana Weather:  Telangana may get thunderstorms and sporadic rainfall from March 20 to 24, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), providing much-needed respite from weeks of unrelenting heat. It is anticipated that temperatures would decrease by 3 to 5°C, ending the protracted dry season that is harming agricultural and daily life.

Until Wednesday, temperatures in five districts, including Adilabad and Jagtial, will range from 40 to 42°C.

By March 20 and 21, daytime highs will drop to 37°C and 36°C, respectively, while minimum temperatures will drop to 19–21°C.

Hyderabad's temperature, which peaked last week at 39.2°C, will drop below 38°C after March 20.

THESE Regions Are Under Yellow Alert

The IMD issued a yellow alert for the following districts, where temperatures have consistently exceeded 40°C:

-Adilabad (Bela recorded 42°C on March 17)

-Kumram Bheem

-Asifabad

-Mancherial

-Jagtial

It is recommended that residents in these places remain hydrated and avoid direct sunlight during peak hours.

Advisory For Heatwave

  • Drink 3–4 liters of water daily to prevent dehydration.
  • Use umbrellas, hats, or scarves when outdoors.
  • Limit outdoor activities between 11 AM and 4 PM.
  • Seek medical help if experiencing dizziness or nausea.
