Hyderabad News: A 45-year-old real estate businessman was murdered in broad daylight at HB Colony, Moulali, on Friday. The victim was identified as Srikanth Reddy, a resident of the same area. Police said the attack was carried out by his former worker, Dhanraj, along with an accomplice.

The Times Of India report cited Kushaiguda police as stating that, Dhanraj had been employed by Srikanth until recently but was dismissed due to his repeated drunken behaviour at work. Despite being removed from service around 20 days ago, he often returned to Srikanth’s office, demanding re-employment.

On Friday afternoon, Dhanraj and his friend Daniel visited Srikanth and took Rs 1,200 from him to buy liquor. After drinking, they returned around 5.30 PM. Once again, Dhanraj asked for his job back. Srikanth told him to return on Tuesday, but when he insisted, Srikanth chose to leave the office.

As Srikanth stepped outside, the two men followed him. Police said Dhanraj instigated Daniel, who then stabbed Srikanth with a knife in front of his office, killing him on the spot.
