Hyderabad Metro Station Update: L&T Metro Rail Limited, in collaboration with TUCKIT, an India-based company, has launched an on-demand smart storage locker across seven metro stations, marking a significant step in enhancing commuter convenience and expanding utility-based services at Hyderabad Metro Stations. 

According to Deccan Chronicle, the facility is designed to support commuters who wish to travel hands-free by securely storing helmets, luggage, shopping bags, backpacks and other personal items. The facility was inaugurated at the Uppal Metro Station on Friday, November 28. 

During the inauguration, KVB Reddy, MD and CEO of L&TMRHL, said, quoted Deccan Chronicle, “TUCKIT’s smart lockers offer a seamless storage experience. L&TMRHL and TUCKIT are transforming Hyderabad Metro stations into multi-utility hubs, integrating smart technology to ease last-mile challenges and enhance the overall passenger journey.” 

Meanwhile, TUCKIT’s founder, Rajesh Amarlal, said that collaborating with L&TMRHL helped the company to bring their ‘Scan & Store’ smart storage solution directly into the urban transit. “Our goal is to make secure storage accessible, intuitive, and available exactly where commuters need it most,” he added.

How To Access These Storage Spaces?

Commuters can access these modern storage spaces quickly through the following steps:

- Step 1: Scan the QR code displayed on the locker panel.

- Step 2: Select the locker size based on the item you want to store.

- Step 3:  Pay the amount for the required amount of duration.

Hyderabad Metro Update: Stations With Smart Storage

TUCKIT smart lockers are operational at the following seven stations:

  • Miyapur

  • Ameerpet

  • Punjagutta

  • LB Nagar

  • Uppal

  • Parade Ground

  • Hi-Tech City
