Hyderabad Metro Update: The Telangana government on Saturday submitted the Detailed Project Reports (DPR) of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase 2 (B) to the centre. While providing details, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) managing director NVS Reddy stated that all the relevant documents have been submitted to the central government. The move comes days after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar at his residence in New Delhi. Reddy had stated that the metro expansion will significantly benefit the residents of several regions by cutting the travel time and reducing the traffic congestion.

“The Hyderabad Metro Phase-II has been meticulously planned to meet the city’s long-term transit needs. The previous government did not pursue any expansion for 10 years, and we are now submitting comprehensive proposals to bridge that gap,” CM Reddy stated.
