The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) raided the premises and found a chemistry lab equipped with eight reactors and dryers used for large-scale production. Police said Goud learned the process from an associate, Guruvareddy and supplied the narcotics to toddy depots in Mahabubnagar.

During the raid, officers seized over 7 kg of Alprazolam, Rs 21 lakh in cash, raw chemicals and manufacturing equipment. Investigators revealed that the illegal operation had been running for nearly six months, with production carried out six days a week and deliveries organised on Sundays.

Goud and two of his associates have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to identify other links in the supply chain.
