Hyderabad police arrested stand-up comedian and businessman Ustav Dixit on Sunday in connection with a Porsche crash that damaged public property at KBR Park. The 33-year-old resident of Banjara Hills was apprehended after allegedly fleeing the scene following the early Friday morning accident, which caused extensive damage to the park’s boundary wall, grills and pavement.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) S Venkat Reddy stated that preliminary investigations indicated Dixit was driving recklessly, leading to a loss of control and collision with the park's fence. The incident was reported around 5:45 am when a citizen called 100, prompting a swift response from patrolling officers.
Upon arrival, police found significant damages but no number plate on the vehicle, although a broken plate was later discovered inside the car, identifying the registration number as TS10FH0900.

A suo-moto case was filed, noting the red Porsche had hit a tree and caused severe structural damage to park property. The vehicle’s front end and wheels were damaged and the driver had already fled, the official said.
Police traced Dixit using available evidence and subsequently subjected him to alcohol and drug testing. His driving license was seized and sent to the Road Transport Office (RTO) for disqualification under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Dixit faces multiple charges, including sections 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 281 (rash driving) under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act (dangerous driving) and section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act. Legal procedures are underway to address both the damages and alleged violations.
