Hyderabad's Tappachabutra area witnessed heightened tensions on Wednesday after pieces of meat were reportedly discovered inside the Jirra Hanuman Temple. The incident came to light when the temple priest found the meat placed behind the Shiva Linga upon arriving in the morning. Outraged devotees and local communities swiftly gathered, demanding action against those responsible.
As news spread, large crowds, including members of Hindu groups and BJP workers, staged protests outside the temple, condemning the act as a desecration. BJP MLA Raja Singh alleged that "some people entered the Hanuman temple and threw pieces of cow on the Linga of Lord Shankar and in the Hanuman temple," a report in ABP Live stated.
The temple priest immediately alerted committee members, who then informed the police. Tappachabutra police teams, along with forensic experts, reached the spot to examine the evidence. Authorities have registered a case and formed four special teams to investigate the matter.
