Ram Navami: The Hyderabad traffic police has issued a traffic advisory for the Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra procession on the Ram Navami festival on Sunday.
The Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra procession will start from Seetarambagh Temple and will conclude at Hanuman Vyamshala, Hanuman Tekdi in the evening.
As per the reports, traffic movement will remain disrupted during this period and it will be diverted or stopped on the following routes: Bhoiguda Kaman, Gandhi Statue, Mangalhat PS Road, Jali Hanuman, Dhoolpet Puranapul, Jumerat Bazar, Bartan Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Begumbazar Chatri, Siddiamber Bazar Mosque, Shanker Sher Hotel, Gowliguda Chaman, Andhra Bank X road, Rammandir Kaman, Putlibowli X road, DMHS X road, Sultan Bazar X road, Royal Plaza T-Junction (Balaji Tiffin’s).
The traffic advisory will remain in effect from 12 hours on Sunday between 9 am and 9 pm. The Hyderabad Traffic Police has asked commuters to plan their movement in the city accordingly.
Security tightened across India
Meanwhile, security has been tightened in several parts of the country. Police deployment has been enhanced in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and West Bengal.
The police in these states have also deployed drones and CCTV cameras to monitor the situation during the celebrations so that the processions conclude peacefully. Intensive social media monitoring is also being done to track down any misinformation, hate-spreading posts, or rumours.
Strict arrangements have been made in Ayodhya, where Surya tilak will be held at the Ram Mandir. Meanwhile, in Bihar, the government has put a complete ban on DJs. In Rohtas alone, over 230 DJs have been seized. In Mumbai, 13,500 personnel have been deployed, including senior officials.
Moreover, the areas that have a history of communal unrest and violence are being identified and a strong police force deployment will be in place at these locations.
