Hyderabad Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast week-long showers for Telangana’s capital Hyderabad. The rain will bring much needed respite to residents who have been dealing under scorching heat. According to the weather body, the maximum temperature may drop and hover somewhere between 36-40 degrees Celsius. Additionally, IMD has issued a 'yellow' alert for multiple Telangana districts, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls.

Weekly Weather Forecast

April 29: Temperature will range between 27 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius. A partly cloudy sky with haze is likely throughout the day.

April 30: Daytime temperatures will touch 39 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. Expect a partly cloudy sky accompanied by hazy conditions.

May 1: The mercury will rise up to 40 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning under a partly cloudy sky.

May 2: Temperatures will hover between 26 degrees Celsius and 39 degrees Celsius. A partly cloudy sky with chances of rain, thunderstorm, or dust storm is expected.

May 3: Expect a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius. Rain or thunderstorms are possible under a partly cloudy sky.

May 4: Similar conditions to May 3, with temperatures between 25 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius. There are chances of rain or thunderstorms under partly cloudy skies.

Telangana has been witnessing significant weather changes in the past couple of days, transitioning from intense heat to severe thunderstorms and gusty winds, and then returning to severe heat wave like conditions. On May 1, IMD, Hyderabad has issued an orange alert for all districts with maximum temperatures ranging from 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius. On Sunday, while there were no major thunderstorm events reported, cloudy conditions brought temperatures significantly down in Hyderabad, bringing much needed respite for general public.
