Hyderabad Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Telangana, including capital city Hyderabad, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, the residents are also expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty wind. It further stated that the early arrival of the monsoon is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat.
Hyderabad Weather Forecast For Upcoming Week:
May 27: The city is likely to witness cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall in the late hours of the day
May 28: The residents are expected to experience moderate rainfall; the maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 30 degrees Celsius
May 29: The capital city of Telangana is likely to receive occasional rain alongwith gentle breeze throughout the day
May 30: Rain along with thunderstorms is expected; the maximum temperature is likely to remain around 31 degrees Celsius
May 31: Heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of the city
June 1: City residents are likely to witness light rain
In its advisory, the weather department also stated that apart from Telangana, several other states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, are also likely to witness rainfall in the upcoming few days.

"The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of west-central & east-central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Karnataka, entire Goa, some parts of Maharashtra, some more parts of west-central and north Bay of Bengal, and some more parts of Mizoram, some parts of Manipur and Nagaland today, the 25th May 2025," the India Meteorological Department stated.
The weather department has also advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
