Telangana has been recently under scrutiny for a number of infractions in the food and beverage sector. In an effort to find violations, the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety's task force team has been conducting raids on several establishments in Hyderabad and other areas.
In one such recent update, the Food Safety Department discovered several infractions, such as expired goods and improper storage practices, during an inspection of a Blinkit facility close to Hyderabad.
The Department took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share a report on the raid that read, "Task force team has conducted an inspection in Blinkit Warehouse at Devar yamjal, Medchal Malkajgiri District on 05.06.2024"

Commissioner Of Food Safety Reported These Violations
It was discovered that the premises lacked proper hygiene and organisation. Dusty storage racks were discovered. At the warehouse, there was not a single Fostac trainee available. There were food handlers discovered without aprons, gloves, or headgear.
There are no medical fitness certifications for food handlers. Food items and cosmetics were kept in storage together.
Regarding the address listed on the label, Whole Farm Congruence Trade and Services Pvt Ltd's license did not comply with the FSS Act. A notification will be sent regarding the same, according to the Food Safety Department.
It was discovered that the licensing for the items made by Kamakshi Foods had expired. As a result, Rs 30,000 worth of VSR's products—suji raw peanut butter, maida, poha, besan, and bajra—were seized. Samples from suspected contaminated Whole Farm toor dal and ragi flour worth Rs 52k were taken and sent to the laboratory.
