Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: As Hyderabad city prepares to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the local traffic police have announced a series of temporary traffic diversions to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and the safety of the devotees.

The traffic diversions will be in effect from 4 AM to 11 PM, as the ISKCON temple in Abids is expected to witness a significant influx of devotees.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Diversions

According to the advisory, the traffic coming from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road, intending to proceed towards Nampally Station Road, will be diverted at the GPO Junction towards MJ Market. Similarly, the traffic coming from MJ Market towards the GPO Junction will be diverted at MJ Market towards Nampally.

The traffic coming from Nampally towards Koti Bank Street, however, will be allowed to proceed as usual, following the route from Bharath Petrol Pump, Left, ACB Lane, Yousuf & Company and Troop Bazar to Koti Bank Street.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Parking Facilities

The traffic police have arranged for parking facilities at the Exhibition Ground in Nampally and the Vasanth Vihar Open area behind the GPO in Abids to accommodate the influx of devotees.

Hyderabad Runners Marathon Traffic Advisory

Additionally, the much-anticipated Runners Marathon is set to take place today, August 25, with extensive traffic diversions and restrictions in Hyderabad to ensure smooth running of the event. Starting from the iconic People's Plaza on Necklace Road and finishing at the G.M.C. Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli, the marathon will see numerous runners taking to the city's streets. In response, traffic authorities have put in place measures to minimise disruptions to regular traffic flow.

Traffic restrictions will be effective from 4:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Sunday. Commuters are advised to plan their routes carefully and adhere to instructions from traffic police for a smoother travel experience.

Key diversions include rerouting for vehicles coming from Panjagutta and Rajbhavan towards the Khairatabad flyover, which will be redirected at the V.V. statue towards Shadan and Nirankari Bhavan. Traffic from the Khairatabad flyover heading towards Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills will be directed via K.C.P, Taj Krishna, Road No. 10 and 12, Cancer Hospital, and Orissa Land.

Vehicles moving from Iqbal Minar towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at the Telugu Thalli flyover at Old Gate Secretariat. Traffic from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be redirected at the Ambedkar Statue towards Telugu Thalli. Motorists traveling from Karbala towards Upper Tank Bund will be redirected at the Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda. Vehicles from Musheerabad and Jabbar Complex will be diverted at Kavadiguda X Road towards DBR Mills and Lower Tank Bund.

Traffic from the Telugu Thalli flyover to Lower Tank Bund will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda X Road. Vehicles coming from Ministers Road and Ranigunj will not be allowed towards Necklace Road, and will be redirected at Nallgutta Junction towards Ranigunj and Minister Road.

As runners approach the Necklace Rotary, traffic from Begumpet towards Raj Bhavan, Banjara Hills, and Jubilee Hills will be redirected at Green Lands Junction towards D.K. Road and Ameerpet. At the Panjagutta flyover, traffic towards Road No. 2 in Banjara Hills will be rerouted at NFCL Junction towards Road No. 1 in Banjara Hills.

Diversions will also be in place at various other locations, including SNT Junction, Sagar Society, NTR Bhavan, and Jubilee Hills Check Post, to facilitate smooth vehicle movement and ensure participant safety.
