Food officers inspected a number of eateries in the Lakdikapul neighbourhood of Hyderabad on November 26. The team was horrified to discover leftover food and rats in one of the restaurants they visited. In addition, officials disclosed that Khan-E-Khas was operating without a current FSSAI license and that pest control records, water analysis reports, and medical fitness certificates were missing.
As soon as they walked into the kitchen, the group threw away the leftover food. The restaurant's refrigerator was used incorrectly to store both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food products together, in addition to being unclean.
In order to confirm a rodent infestation in the kitchen, the team also discovered rat droppings on shelves used to keep raw food ingredients. Additionally, they pointed out that the kitchen was quite tiny, making proper cleaning practically impossible.
A few pictures were also posted by the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety's official X (previously Twitter) account to support their statements. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food were stored together in one picture, while the other displayed food remaining from the previous day. There were also images of a dirty floor and raw meat near a trash can.
Task force team has conducted inspections in Lakdikapul area on 26.11.2024.

The team then examined Shahi Dastarkhan and discovered cockroaches in the kitchen. The team observed particles "shredding" from the kitchen ceiling and "greasy walls" at this restaurant. This eatery also has standing water, just like Khan-E-Khas.
Additionally, expired food items were discovered on the property, which the team promptly disposed of.

The next eatery to violate food safety regulations was Bademiyan Kebabs. Inside the kitchen, the team discovered cobwebs and artificial food colouring that had been thrown out right away. The team also observed that the food handlers were not wearing gloves or hair caps while working.
A common concern at all three restaurants was a lack of insect-proof screens in the kitchen, which allowed insects to enter easily.
