Telangana Housing Scheme 2025 Update: The Telangana government on Wednesday distributed allocation letters to beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme in the Rangareddy and Dubbaka districts. A total of 1,292 beneficiaries, including 794 men and 498 women, received housing allocation letters in this phase, while 240 individuals, including 177 men and 63 women, were provided with rental agreements.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with other dignitaries, attended the event, where discussions on future phases of the housing initiative also took place. Earlier, the Telangana government issued a strict directive to ensure that only deserving and homeless families benefit from the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
Officials were instructed to conduct thorough verification and take action against fraudulent claims. Telangana Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that any beneficiary found ineligible at any stage would face immediate cancellation of their house allotment, regardless of the construction progress.
Indiramma Housing Scheme: Selection and Verification Process
The government received applications through Gram Sabhas (village assemblies) and public programs like Praja Palana in January 2025. So far, 562 villages have completed the beneficiary selection process. Any discrepancies or wrongful allocations will be reviewed, and necessary corrections will be made.
What Is the Indiramma Housing Scheme?
To address homelessness in Telangana, the government announced the Indiramma Housing Scheme 2025 earlier this year. The initiative focuses on providing housing to landless individuals, Telangana movement activists, and combatants who have remained homeless despite their contributions to the state.
The first phase of the initiative aims to construct 4.5 lakh houses, each measuring at least 400 square feet and equipped with an RCC roof, kitchen, and toilet. With an allocation of ₹22,000 crore, the scheme is set to transform the housing landscape in Telangana.
