A man was killed for dating and marrying a girl from a different caste in Muppiritota village in the Peddapalli district of Telangana. A 20-year-old Sai Kumar was brutally attacked by his father-in-law for marrying an 18-year-old girl from a different caste. Sai was in a relationship with a girl from the same village. 

The couple recently got married and started living together. On the night of his birthday, Sai Kumar went out with friends to celebrate when he was allegedly attacked by his father-in-law with an axe. Sai succumbed to the attack on the spot, as per family members, Times Now reported. 

The accused is currently at large as police have launched a search operation after registering a case against the accused. The authorities sent the dead body for a post-mortem before handing it over to the deceased’s family.

A similar case of murder was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on March 14 this year, where a father and brother killed a girl for marrying in a different caste. Victim Neha Rathore had a love affair with a man from a different caste. Her family disapproved of the relationship and barred Neha from meeting her partner, Suraj. Neha married her partner on March 11 against her family’s wishes. The father-son duo were not happy with this relationship and killed Neha. 

According to police, upon receiving the information about their marriage, the accused Bhanu Rathore and his son Himanshu Rathore caught Neha and killed her on the morning of March 12 and performed her final rites, to escape arrest.
