A 28-year-old man, identified as Mogulayya, who died in a road accident was carried on a pushcart by the Telangana Police after an ambulance failed to arrive on time at the scene. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media which shows the man’s body lying partially on the cart, with the other half hanging off the side.
According to the NDTV report, the incident occurred on Sunday when Mogulayya, riding his two-wheeler to a bus stand, was struck by a tipper lorry at Shivaji Chowk. The accident happened on a busy one-way stretch, and officials confirmed that he died instantly at the scene.
When the police arrived, they requested an ambulance to transport the body to Kosgi Government Hospital, located about half a kilometer from the scene, for a post-mortem examination. Despite multiple calls, the ambulance did not come, officials stated. As a crowd gathered, leading to a traffic jam, the officers decided to use a pushcart, typically used by local vendors, to carry the body.

Reports indicate that the pushcart was taken from a nearby small trader without his permission.
The incident provoked anger among residents, who condemned the authorities for their "insensitivity" and failure to make proper arrangements.
The Narayanpet Superintendent of Police explained that the body was moved on the pushcart to "avoid further disruption."

"We are inquiring into the circumstances. On Sunday, due to the one-way road and heavy market crowd, it became difficult to bring an ambulance quickly. Revenue staff and police personnel tried to stop a few vehicles but failed. To prevent further chaos, the body was shifted to the mortuary on a pushcart. A detailed inquiry is being conducted," he said.
