Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Telangana, including capital city Hyderabad, are likely to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that the rains are likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing relief from the scorching heat. The IMD further stated that apart from rains, these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph. The weather department has also advised the residents of the coastal regions to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that the maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 40 degrees Celsius till May 13. It further stated that the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 36 degrees Celsius, adding that the temperature is likely to rise by almost two degrees Celsius after May 15. The weather department had earlier said that multiple cities in the state are expected to witness record-breaking heat this year.

Multiple Districts To Receive Rainfall

The IMD stated that multiple districts, including Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal, are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall for the next few days.

The weather department stated that while the weather change is likely to provide relief by reducing temperature, it is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and traffic congestion in several key areas of the capital city of Telangana. Apart from Telangana, several other states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, are likely to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. Several northern states are also likely to receive rainfall for the next few days.
