"On June 19, 2025, a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft operating the Hyderabad–Tirupati flight experienced an intermittent illumination of the AFT baggage door light after take-off. Cabin pressurisation remained normal throughout. As a precautionary measure, the pilots decided to return to Hyderabad. The aircraft landed safely and passengers were deplaned normally. The aircraft did not make an emergency landing. An alternate aircraft has been arranged to operate the onward journey to Tirupati," SpiceJet said in a post on X.

In a separate news, an IndiGo flight, 6E2006, which was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Leh, made a U-turn and returned to Delhi after a technical fault was detected. The flight made an emergency landing in Delhi shortly after it was approaching Leh. According to the news agency IANS, 180 people, including crew members, were onboard the plane. The airline is yet to issue an official statement regarding the kind of technical problem that led to the emergency landing of the plane.

The incident seems to be following a recent pattern, where passengers in a few IndiGo flights encountered an inconvenient travel experience. Earlier on June 17, an IndiGo flight, 6E 2706 from Kochi to Delhi, was diverted to Nagpur after it received a bomb threat with a specified flight number. A day earlier, on June 16, passengers had a harrowing experience after a Goa-to-Lucknow IndiGo flight encountered severe mid-air turbulence; fortunately, the plane made a successful landing.
