Israel-Iran War: Over 40 people got injured after Israel's Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba got hit by Iranian ballistic missiles in the early hours of Thursday. The hospital spokesperson stated that the building has sustained damage, adding that the rescue teams are helping the people stuck in the lift and other parts of the hospital. The spokesperson further stated that several people have suffered injuries in the attack, further urging the residents to not come to the hospital for treatment.

While reacting to the attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran has launched attack at a civilian population, adding that the Israeli forces will take revenge from Tehran. “Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and at a civilian population in the center of the country,” Netanyahu stated in a post on X. “We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran,” he added
“The hospital suffered extensive damage in different areas and people had been wounded in the attack,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. While the authorities have not yet confirmed the exact details of the damage, several people are likely to have suffered injuries. The medical centre has more than 1,000 beds and serves thousands of residents of southern Israel. The firefighters confirmed that the building has suffered massive damage due to the attack, reported AP.

The Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) on Thursday informed that an area near the heavy-water research reactor in Khondab was hit by Israel, leading to damage. However, the officials announced that the facility was evacuated prior to the attack, adding that there is no radiation risk. The research reactor was partially built and previouslyknown as Arak, reported Reuters.
