Home Affairs Ministers of India: The Home Ministry is one of the most important portfolios in the Indian Union Cabinet. The Home Affairs ministers have the responsibility of keeping the country internally secure, administering the police, and dealing with domestic policies. The role of the Home Minister is one of the most important ministries, among the rest and is regarded as second only to the Prime Minister in stature and power. Additionally, some Home Ministers have been Prime Ministers as well, which also highlights the stature of this post.
