The recent Instagram influencer Misha Agarwal's death has sent shockwaves across the internet. She had 359K followers on Instagram and was known for her ranting videos and fashion content. Additionally, the 24-year-old law graduate turned entrepreneur of Mish Cosmetics took her own life by suicide two days just before her 25th birthday. Her sister revealed Misha spiralled into depression after her Instagram follower count declined, fixating on reaching 1 million followers.

Kubra Aykut (Turkey, September 2024)

The 26-year-old TikTok influencer with 1 M+ followers became popular for her symbolic wedding to herself video. She took her own life by suicide in Istanbul, leaving a note that read: "I couldn't be good to myself." Her last posts indicated body image issues and sudden weight loss.

Chris O’Donnell (USA, January 2025)

The fitness influencer died by suicide on January 11, 2025, via a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Despite his advocacy for mental health awareness and sobriety since 2018, O’Donnell’s final posts hinted at existential struggles. He was just 31 years old and had 842K followers on TikTok and 241K followers on Instagram.

RJ Simran (India, December 2024)

Simran Singh was a 25-year-old radio jockey who was popularly known as RJ Simran and had 700K followers on Instagram, was discovered dead in her Gurugram flat. Although no suicide note was found, family members reported that she had been mentally unwell before her death.

Radhika Dhamecha (India, February 2025)

The influencer died by suicide on February 23, 2025, shortly after calling her father about her intentions. Separated from her family post-divorce, she lived with her six-year-old son. She was just 26 years old and had 45K Instagram followers.

Njaan__pyaaruu (India, June 2024)

The 18-year-old student died on June 17, 2024, after a suicide attempt linked to cyberbullying from a public feud with another influencer. As per reports, her posts had sparked follower wars involving personal attacks. She had 112K followers on Instagram.

Michelle Young (USA, January 2024)

The U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and fitness influencer died by suicide on January 20, 2024, just days after celebrating her daughter’s 12th birthday. Ms Young had previously revealed that her older brother died by suicide when she was a mere 14. The 34-year-old had 100k+ Instagram followers.

Ankur Nath (India, January 2025)

A 19-year-old took his own life on a live-stream on Instagram in Chhattisgarh, India. At least 21 of her followers witnessed the tragic loss. As per reports, she committed suicide due to a love affair. There is no information regarding whether her Instagram handle is currently visible.

Pranshu Yadav (@glamitupwithpranshu)

The queer makeup artist died by suicide on November 21, 2023 due to relentless cyberbullying. A Diwali reel showing Pranshu in a saree attracted over 4,000 homophobic comments. The queer person was only 16 at the time of sucide and had 14K+ Instagram followers.

Brandon Miller (July 2024)

Brandon Miller was a real estate tycoon who had earned an empire for himself along with his wife. On July 3, 2024, he took his own life by carbon monoxide. Her wife and son were on vacation when he committed suicide. A note cited financial pressures, including millions in debt and life insurance policies. He only had $8,000 in his bank account and $34 million in debt.
